Most independent retailers in the town will by now have been contacted by West Dunbartonshire Council regarding the above scheme. It is open to retailers in the town whose organisation employs fewer than 25 employees. The scheme unfortunately is not open to the financial/legal sector, restaurants or takeaway outlets.
The details of the scheme are as follows:
Access to a Retail Consultant who will provide a full independent review of your business with accompanying action plan;
· Free advice on property related issues and shop front improvements;
· Access to a free Merchandising Course;
· Access to a Retail Improvement Grant for internal and external improvements that will provide up to 75% of project costs or £10,000 (whichever is the lower);
· Access to additional Council discretionary business support grants.
· Free follow up reviews with a Retail Consultant
